How we verify rebate data
Every figure on this site is traced to an official source, dated, and re-checked when programs move.
Official sources only
Rebate amounts, price caps, and eligibility rules come exclusively from official program pages: Transport Canada for the federal incentive, provincial government and utility pages for provincial and home-charger programs. We never source figures from news articles, dealer sites, or aggregators. Every program shown on a province page and every row in the open dataset links to the exact page it was verified against.
Dated verification
Each figure carries the date we last checked it against its source. It shows up as "Verified" on province pages and as a verified column in the dataset. If a date looks stale, treat the figure with appropriate caution and check the linked program page.
Change monitoring
When a program's amounts, status, or eligibility change, we update the figure and its verification date, and subscribers to that province are notified by email. You can subscribe on any province page.
Journal standards
Journal drafting is research-assisted, and every article is reviewed by Franklin before publishing. Every number in an article (price, range, rebate amount, date) must come from a source fetched during research, and articles cite their most load-bearing sources with verification dates.
Independence
evprairie doesn't sell vehicles or installations and never sells your information. Quote requests go to a single verified local installer, not an auction of callers.
